Gameplay in GSPro

Gameplay

To navigate your round of golf at Loft Golf Studios, there are several things to know while making your way around the course.  From aiming, taking a drop, a Mulligan and a whole lot more.

See below for more information on how to make your way through a round in GSPro.

The Main Display

How to read the main display

The main display will provide an overview of the hole information (hole number, par, yardage), shot details, hole layout, wind conditions as well as all players in the round including their score,

Use the mouse and keyboard or the footswitch.

At Loft Golf Studios you can use either to control gameplay, the choice is yours.

Players

All players in the round will be listed in the top left corner of the screen.

  • The color matches the ball location shown on the mini map.
  • The player listed at the top indicates who's turn it is to hit.
  • The yardage listed is the total to the pin for their next shot.
  • The score listed to the right is the player's current total score to par.

Use the mini-map in the lower right corner to lineup your target (pink dot).

  • The remaining distance to the pin will display at the top left (125 yd).
  • The lie (top) will tell you if you are in the: fairway, semi-rough, rough, deep rough, pine straw, sand, green or tee.
  • Your shot will be impacted by the slope (bottom) and terrain of the lie so aim and choose your club accordingly.

Mini-Map

Putting

  • The moving dots on the green indicate the break of the green.  The faster the dots are moving, the more extreme the break.
  • Use the footswitch aim buttons or the mouse or keyboard (arrow keys) to adjust your aim.
  • The distance to the hole will show  above the pin or aim point.
  • The measurement will show in feet and inches as well as indicating if the putt is uphill, downhill or flat (0")

Foot Wedge (Sim Drop)

In a tough spot?  Don't waste time hacking away when you can simply take a drop and put your ball in the fairway.

From the SHOT OPTIONS menu, select SIM DROP.

Sim Drop

Sim Drop

Once you select SIM DROP choose a spot outside the red area and select ACCEPT.  You can then hit away without having to worry about that tree right in front of you.
